Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for acute care night shifts with 2+ years of CT experience and required ARRT (CT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in the CT department
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
• Handles adult and emergency patient populations with studies including CTA, body, and neuro imaging
• Average of 30 scans per 12-hour shift
• Works with GE and Toshiba scanners; ability to use both is required
• Department uses Epic and McKesson PACS for charting and imaging
• May be required to float to other scanners within the department if equipment issues arise
• On-call duty required with a 30-minute response time
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Performs CT exams including CTA, body, and neuro studies for a variety of acute and emergent patient needs
• Solid color scrubs provided by the facility
• Department-specific orientation will be given at start of assignment
• Must cover weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Radiologist is available onsite during the day but not on evenings or weekends
• Returning candidates must not have worked at a related facility within the past year in a full-time, part-time, or PRN role

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years CT experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Certification as a CT Technologist through ARRT (CT) required
• Active state radiology license required; license required if applicable
• Experience with ER-type scans and ability to start and troubleshoot IVs when necessary
• Must provide own radiation badge
• Experience using Epic and McKesson PACS systems preferred
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
• Two professional references must be provided, including one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor within the last 3 years
