Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with scrub experience for a flexible, rotating schedule in a level 1 trauma center in Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 17-room hospital operating room with 24/7 staffing
- Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, with 7 a.m. or 7 p.m. start times
- D/N rotation with every third weekend and every other holiday required
- One call shift per schedule period
- May float to an additional OR unit as needed
- Surgical specialties include general, gynecology, urology, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine cases
- Must be flexible and able to cover a variety of surgical cases
- Team-oriented work with support staff and surgeons in a high-acuity environment
- Monthly parking fees may apply
- First time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
Requirements
- Active MA RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient OR experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Scrub experience in at least 5 surgical specialties required
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
- Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B
- Two professional references required, including one from a manager within the last 12 months
