Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Michigan requiring a current MI RN license and Cerner EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Care for a diverse population of emergency patients with varying acuity
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Every other weekend is required
- No on-call requirement
- Requires floating to a nearby sister hospital if needed
- Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience is required
- Provide leadership and coordinate the delivery of quality, compassionate emergency patient care
- Participate in team-based problem solving and implement care solutions for patient needs
- Must be available to work at least one holiday during the contract
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- Online pre-employment modules must be completed onsite about one week prior to the start date
- Dress code, orientation, and further onboarding details will be provided before the assignment begins
- Only one week of requested time off is allowed during the contract
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are preferred
- Clinical proficiency in emergency nursing, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Must complete online modules with passing scores onsite prior to the start date
- COVID vaccine is mandatory
