Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT experience for a variable schedule position in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room in a hospital setting
• Care for surgical patients across general, orthopedic, neurological, trauma, and ENT cases
• Pediatric experience is preferred
• Variable shifts, including 3x12s or 4x10s with rotating days and required call duties
• Flexible weekly scheduling with no block schedule or guaranteed set days
• Must be available to work some holidays
• Cerner charting system is used; experience preferred
• Responsibilities include assisting with surgeries across multiple specialties and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• On-call coverage is required as part of the schedule
• An on-site drug screen will be administered prior to start, and passing is required for employment
• Requests for time off should be noted in advance
• Variable and changing shift assignments will be discussed in the interview process

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required and must be active before start
• Prior experience in general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT operating room settings required
• Two references from supervisors within the past three years required for consideration
• Current certifications must be submitted with application
• Applicants must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
