Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg position in Texas, requiring an active TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital setting
  • Med/Surg unit with chronic care patient population
  • Day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Candidates must not currently work in a permanent position for this health system
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to long-term acute and chronic care patients
  • Electronic timekeeping system must be used for clocking in and out
  • Not eligible if currently employed in a permanent role in any location within the health system
  • All staff may be required to float within a 25-mile radius as needed

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or LTAC settings
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
  • No RCIS or RQI certifications accepted
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
  • Full US Social Security Number required for consideration
  • Local candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
