Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a busy cardiac catheterization lab, requiring RCIS or ARRT-R certification and 2+ years of recent experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cardiac catheterization lab with 4 procedure rooms
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Average daily case volume is 15 patients
- Common diagnoses include CAD, MI, post-cardiac arrest, pre/post-transplant, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, ASD, PFO, VSD, pericardial effusion, tamponade, PHTN, pre-surgical, aortic stenosis, mitral and tricuspid regurgitation
- Procedures performed include PCI, CTO, PFO and ASD closure, atherectomy, pericardiocentesis, valvuloplasty, septostomy, TAVR, Mitraclip, Triclip, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and thrombectomy
- Equipment used includes Impella console, IABP console, Shockwave, Boston Scientific IVUS/FFR/DFR, Acist, MedRad, Rotablader, Pneumbra, coronary wires/stents/balloons
- Day shifts are 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- One on-call day per week and one weekend call per month are required
- One scheduled weekend shift per month is required
- Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
- Responsibilities include assisting in a variety of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including device placements and coronary interventions
- Team-oriented environment with exposure to complex cardiac cases
- Candidates must be available for holiday and weekend shifts as scheduled
- Professional attire or scrubs are required according to department guidelines
- Ensure that all special requests and time-off requirements are communicated initially for consideration
Requirements
- RCIS or ARRT-R certification required
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience with RCIS, or 3 years with ARRT-R
- Experience with advanced cardiac procedures and use of specialized equipment
- Only experienced travelers will be considered; first-time travelers will not be considered
- License required if applicable
