Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Medical Observation Unit night shift position in Alaska, requiring an active AK RN license and recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Medical Observation Unit in a hospital setting
- Stepdown unit caring for patients requiring intermediate care
- Scheduling is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment duration
- Night shift with no specified on-call requirement
- Provide nursing care for patients at an intermediate care/stepdown level
- Must submit references and documentation as required for consideration
- No local candidates eligible due to the radius rule
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for background check
- Travelers with prior experience in similar settings encouraged to apply
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown or medical observation unit experience
- At least 2 years of clinical RN experience preferred
- Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
