Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Ortho/Trauma Unit assignment requiring an active OK or compact license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Ortho/Trauma Unit of a hospital setting
• Care for patients with orthopedic and trauma-related health concerns
• 12-hour day shifts, three days per week
• Must be comfortable with both surgical day (SD) and medical surgical (MS) protocols
• Responsible for nursing care and coordinating patient plans for an assigned group
• Administers medications, monitors IV infusions, and assists with minor diagnostic procedures
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Work involves collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team
• No local candidates allowed due to radius rule

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or a multistate compact RN license (eNLC) is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred
• Minimum of one year RN experience is required
• Ability to apply professional nursing theory, techniques, and procedures
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
