Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a NY RN license and expertise in comprehensive perinatal care.

Responsibilities

Position is in a hospital setting within the Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) unit
Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
13-week assignment
Works with maternal and newborn patient populations including laboring patients and immediate postpartum care
Every other weekend required
LDRP model Level 1 with special care nursery
Must be comfortable in the OR setting and able to serve as baby RN
Will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, administering medications, coaching during labor, assisting with deliveries, and educating families on infant care
Must be able to function in the main delivery area and special care nursery as needed
Holiday coverage requirements discussed upon hire based on assignment period
Local candidates in NY are accepted at local rate

Requirements

Active NY RN license required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, and C-EFM
Experience in both labor and delivery, and postpartum care required
Ability to verify credentials within 30 days of assignment start
