Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license, with at least two years of NICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting
- Night shifts are 12 hours, scheduled from 19:00 to 07:00
- Typical patient ratios are 1:2 to 1:3, depending on acuity
- Floating may occur within Women’s Services, but is very rare
- Weekend shifts required, with a minimum of 2 weekends per 4-week period and preference for 3 of 4 if needed by unit
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Provide nursing care for neonates with varying levels of acuity in a fast-paced NICU
- No on-call requirements for this role
- All RTO should be kept to a minimum for the duration of the 13-week assignment
- Block scheduling requests will be considered but cannot be guaranteed
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of two years recent NICU experience required
- Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Not accepting first-time travelers for this assignment
- Does not accept pending licenses
- Local candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
