Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of acute care OR experience and a FL or Compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital operating room environment
• Shifts are 8 hours, from 3:00pm to 11:00pm
• On-call duties are required with a 30-minute response time
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Scrub and circulate for operative procedures and manage department admissions to the operative suite
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and OR standards at all times
• Consult and coordinate with surgical team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serve as a communication liaison for patients, families, and the operating team
• Prepare the OR for surgical procedures, assemble and verify equipment and supplies, and ensure functionality
• Must provide all required certifications for job consideration

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• At least 2 years of recent acute care OR experience in a U.S. hospital
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and CPI
• Two manager or supervisor references are preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
