Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU night shift position requiring a current OK or compact RN license and specialized neonatal certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital
  • Night shift position with hours from 7PM to 7AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Care for a diverse neonatal patient population with varying acuity from simple to complex cases
  • NICU unit with responsibilities including physiologic monitoring and administration of IV infusions and blood products
  • NICU nurses assume responsibility for an assigned group of neonatal patients
  • Duties include documenting patient responses, assisting with examinations, and sharing care plans with families
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the position
  • Team-based environment with delegated tasks to support staff

Requirements

  • Active OK or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year NICU registered nursing experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • NRP certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate neonatal nursing services
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs
