Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with general, neuro, ortho, trauma, or robotics experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Operating Room
• Rotates between 6:30am-3:00pm and 10:30am-6:00pm shifts
• Includes weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Handles a variety of surgical cases: general, neuro, orthopedic, trauma, and robotics
• Fast-paced OR environment
• Responsible for circulating and assisting in various surgical specialties
• Must participate in a rotating call schedule including holidays and weekends
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are necessary for success in this fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Five years of recent OR RN experience preferred, may consider less with strong specialty experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Two references from supervisors within the last three years required for consideration
• Local candidates residing within a 110-mile radius are not accepted
