Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department assignment in an adult hospital setting, requiring ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Adult Emergency Department within a hospital environment
• Patient population consists of adults with a wide range of conditions from simple to complex
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Unit provides care for various emergencies and supports minor diagnostic procedures
• No locals accepted due to 50 mile radius rule
• Responsible for direct patient care, including assessment, documentation, and administration of medications and blood products
• Assists physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
• Delegates tasks appropriately to support staff and maintains collaborative relationships
• Provides clear communication of care plans to patients and families
• Required to complete background check and drug screen prior to starting
• Scrub or dress code details will be provided at orientation
• Candidates must maintain good verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

• Current RN license from Oklahoma or a Compact State
• Minimum one year of recent emergency nursing experience required
• Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are mandatory
• Able to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
