Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department assignment in an adult hospital setting, requiring ACLS and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Adult Emergency Department within a hospital environment
- Patient population consists of adults with a wide range of conditions from simple to complex
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week
- Unit provides care for various emergencies and supports minor diagnostic procedures
- No locals accepted due to 50 mile radius rule
- Responsible for direct patient care, including assessment, documentation, and administration of medications and blood products
- Assists physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Delegates tasks appropriately to support staff and maintains collaborative relationships
- Provides clear communication of care plans to patients and families
- Required to complete background check and drug screen prior to starting
- Scrub or dress code details will be provided at orientation
- Candidates must maintain good verbal and written communication skills
Requirements
- Current RN license from Oklahoma or a Compact State
- Minimum one year of recent emergency nursing experience required
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are mandatory
- Able to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
