Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with BLS, ACLS, ARRT, and IEMA licensure, and experience in vascular interventional procedures and Level 1 Trauma.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Vascular Interventional Radiology setting within a Heart & Vascular Institute
- Patient population includes individuals requiring invasive cardiology and radiology studies
- Day shift schedule with 4x9-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and rotating call coverage
- Procedures include peripheral vascular, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (venous and arterial), venous thrombectomy, and dialysis work
- Neuro interventional procedures experience preferred
- Uses Epic EMR and Epic charting experience is required
- No local candidates accepted; must reside 50+ miles from facility
- Assist physicians during procedures including IV placement, administering contrast, and managing allergic reactions when applicable
- Provide accurate patient identification, diagnosis verification, and chart documentation
- Instruct new staff as necessary and ensure complete documentation of patient care
- Perform peripheral vascular procedures, venous central lines, tube access and changes, embolization, venous thrombectomy, and dialysis access work
- Potential to perform neuro interventional procedures such as cerebral arterial/venous access and kyphoplasty
- Not eligible for travel partners
- Assignments may not exceed one year without a six-month break before returning
- Requested time off may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
- Current ARRT (Radiography) and IEMA Radiography License required; license required if applicable
- Minimum of one year relevant experience in radiologic technology, with prior procedural setting experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a sterile field and pull supplies for procedures
- Epic charting and Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Manual dexterity for handling small supplies
- Must be able to work variable shifts and participate in call rotation
