Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Colorado, requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 3 years of PACU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the PACU within a hospital surgical services department
- Care for patients during pre-operative and post-operative phases
- Three to four 10-hour shifts per week
- Includes 1-2 days of call per week and 1 weekend of call every 4 weeks
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses in all phases of pre- and post-operative care
- Provide direct patient care as part of the surgical team
- Must participate in training, education, and orientation for new procedures and protocols
- Facility maintains the right to refuse any professional or terminate an assignment for cause
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license
- Minimum 3 years of PACU nursing experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Must pass Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check
- Reliable personal transportation required due to rural location
