Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Operating Room role requiring an active OR license, Epic charting proficiency, and at least 2 years of OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Schedule includes 4x10 hour variable day shifts (07:00-17:30) or 3x12 hour night shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Weekday scheduled shifts are 12 hours, weekday night call shifts are 8 hours (23:00-07:00), and weekend scheduled or call shifts are 12 hours
• Up to 6 call and/or weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Travelers may float to a sister hospital nearby
• Epic EMR is required for all shifts
• Assume all standard RN Operating Room duties including circulating and scrubbing as needed
• Strict rules for requested time off (RTO); additional requests after submission are not permitted
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• No mile radius restriction for eligibility

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Oregon with OR experience (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• COVID vaccination required with no exemptions accepted
• Former staff must have 6 months separation to be eligible to return as a traveler
