Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with Epic charting skills and BLS certification for a day shift Operating Room assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Primary schedule is day shifts, 3x12 hour shifts with variable start times including 07:00-17:30 and 11:00-23:30
• Night shift option available with 3x12s from 19:00-07:30
• Weekday scheduled 12-hour shifts and night call shifts of 8 hours (23:00-07:00)
• Weekend scheduled and call shifts may be required, with up to 6 call or weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required
• Strict rules for requested time off; requests cannot be changed once submitted
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates
• Main responsibilities include providing intraoperative RN care for surgical patients
• Return staff must have a 6-month separation before returning as travelers

Requirements

• Active and current OR RN license (no pending)
• Current BLS certification is required
• ACLS certification is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Experience with Epic charting is required
• COVID vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
• First time travelers are not allowed
• Must have been separated from this health system for at least 6 months to be eligible for return as a traveler
