Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift contract requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least two years of ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Care for patients with conditions such as HTN, diabetes, CHF, renal disease, CAD, abdominal pain, STEMI/NSTEMI, PE, COPD, and behavioral health concerns
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:00 to 6:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be required to float within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Expected to work major holidays as assigned based on the length and timing of the assignment
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• No assignment of travel pairs to the same shift on the same unit
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed, none allowed during the first week
• Travelers unable to return to one facility must complete an assignment outside Piedmont before rebooking at another location

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• First time travelers are accepted
• Must provide two supervisory references from a manager or higher
• Full compliance required prior to start; incomplete compliance may delay start due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year to return as a traveler
