Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with PCU exposure and night shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a blended Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Primary patient population includes thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, urology, general surgery, and general medicine cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 for Med/Surg Telemetry and 1:3 for PCU
• EPIC is the required EMR system
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating to Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Responsibilities include caring for a variety of post-surgical and medical patients in a blended unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs must be navy blue
• Free onsite parking is available

Requirements

• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Professional references from two supervisors within the past two years are required
• Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility
