Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an orthopedic outpatient role requiring MA PT licensure and at least one year of recent outpatient experience.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based outpatient rehab facility focusing on orthopedic cases
- Work hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- 40-hour work week with no major holidays, weekends, or call required
- Level 1 trauma hospital environment
- Main responsibilities include delivering orthopedic physical therapy services in an outpatient setting
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Scrubs or business casual attire required
- No major holidays or weekends scheduled
- Monthly parking fees apply; information provided upon request
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers except for sterile processing roles
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts PT license required if applicable
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in an outpatient setting
- At least 18 months of experience in the specialty required for consideration
- Orthopedic physical therapy experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital required
- Excellent patient handling and transfer techniques
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and time management skills
- Must be self-directed, flexible, and able to multi-task
- Two professional references required, one from a manager and one recent within 12 months, including performance evaluations
