Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an orthopedic outpatient role requiring MA PT licensure and at least one year of recent outpatient experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based outpatient rehab facility focusing on orthopedic cases
• Work hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• 40-hour work week with no major holidays, weekends, or call required
• Level 1 trauma hospital environment
• Main responsibilities include delivering orthopedic physical therapy services in an outpatient setting
• Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Scrubs or business casual attire required
• No major holidays or weekends scheduled
• Monthly parking fees apply; information provided upon request
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers except for sterile processing roles

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts PT license required if applicable
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in an outpatient setting
• At least 18 months of experience in the specialty required for consideration
• Orthopedic physical therapy experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital required
• Excellent patient handling and transfer techniques
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and time management skills
• Must be self-directed, flexible, and able to multi-task
• Two professional references required, one from a manager and one recent within 12 months, including performance evaluations
