Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Physical Therapist for a neuro outpatient role requiring at least one year of outpatient experience, neuro background, and an active MA PT license.
Responsibilities
- Position is at a hospital-based outpatient rehab facility focused on neurological cases
- Patient population includes neuro patients in an outpatient setting
- Work schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- No major holidays, weekends, or call required
- Main responsibilities include providing physical therapy to neuro patients in an outpatient setting
- Work attire may be scrubs or business casual
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Parking is available for a fee
- Orientation and team structure details provided on assignment
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts physical therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in an outpatient setting required
- Neuro experience required
- BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
- Excellent patient handling skills and transfer techniques needed
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team player, and strong time management skills required
- Must be self-directed, flexible, and able to multi-task
- Two professional references required, including one from a manager-level supervisor and recent performance evaluations
