Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT or ARMRIT certification, BLS, and recent Epic and Philips MRI experience for a flexible schedule assignment.

Responsibilities

Assignment up to 32 weeks in a teaching hospital environment
Primarily MRI imaging duties with no on-call requirement
Schedule includes 1-2 weekends per month with flexibility required for shifts
Workdays may include any day Monday through Sunday
Experience with Philips MRI equipment is required; strong candidates with other equipment will be considered
Use of Epic EMR is required and must have been used within the past 2 years
Bi-weekly orientations occur on Mondays
Absence of block scheduling, flexibility for coverage is necessary
All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained for consideration
Complete work history details are required for application
Religious or medical exemption documentation must be provided if needed
Submission is limited to one application at a time system-wide

Requirements

Current BLS certification required
ARRT or ARMRIT certification with advanced MRI licensure required
Minimum of 1 year MRI tech experience required
Prior teaching hospital experience required
Epic EMR experience required within the past 2 years
Prior travel assignment experience preferred
License required if applicable
Reliable transportation is required, as public transportation is not available in the area
Vehicles must be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April

however staff and travelers don’t do the same mount of work “protocol.” Staff don’t do anything on days and complain constantly.
