Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active NE or compact license for a Level 2 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care setting
- Level 2 trauma center environment
- All patient care is 100% acute care
- Day shifts are 8 hours in length
- Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred
- 13-week contract assignment
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, determined by the address on driver's license
- Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN employees of any CommonSpirit-associated facility within the past year
- Travelers may wear a conservative-style shirt (polo, oxford, turtleneck) with non-denim, casual pants; scrubs are not permitted
- Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
- Orientation includes 12 hours of training
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Returning employees must have not worked at any CommonSpirit facilities, including PRN, within the past year
Requirements
- Active Nebraska or compact (NLC) Physical Therapy license required at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 1 year recent acute care physical therapy experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Two professional references needed: one supervisor from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including employment dates and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of valid driver’s license required for consideration
