Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring TN or compact RN licensure and recent Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Patient population includes stepped-down ICU patients, excluding those requiring vents or pressor support
• Care involves management of drips such as heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone, including sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring is required
• Floating within the hospital is required based on skill set
• Pre-assignment testing and completion of training modules are required prior to start
• Orientation is held every Monday
• All travelers must complete required modules within 48 hours of receiving login information
• Travelers must live more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility for eligibility, with specific exceptions for night shift travelers who must live more than 50 miles from the assigned campus
• Travelers may only float to units where competencies are documented
• Extensions beyond three consecutive contracts are not permitted without conversion to employee status
• Reimbursement offered for hours spent on required training modules

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year recent unit experience required
• ER holding experience required
• At least 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Two references required for consideration
