Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery RN with a DC RN license and at least 2 years of recent L&D experience for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a teaching hospital
Level 1 Trauma Center with 228 staffed beds
Night shifts are 4x12 hours from 19:30 to 08:00
Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
Floating within hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed
Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
Uses Centricity, Sorian, EDM, Lawson, and Kronos EMR systems
Scrubs are provided by the hospital
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Return staff must have a 1-year separation before being reconsidered
Restricted to one request for time off during contract
Work in a supportive team environment at a large teaching facility
Parking is available for a fee or use public transportation near the Shaw/Howard University Metro station

Requirements

Active DC RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
COVID-19 vaccination required
Two supervisor references required
Not open to candidates with pending licenses
