Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CT Technologist for acute care, overnight shifts with BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications required.

Details

• Position is in an acute care setting and designated as a critical access hospital
• Work in a CT department with one primary Philips 128 slice CT room and a backup Philips 16 slice scanner
• Covers both adult and pediatric patients, with common studies including stroke, STEMI, trauma, abdominal pain, head injuries, kidney stones, and CTA
• High volume of outpatient CTs scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Shift is 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with weekends as needed, every other holiday, and team-based scheduling
• Role includes floating to cover X-ray after hours (11:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) if CT volume is low
• Department uses MEDITECH for EMR, PACS system, and Bracco injectors
• Three orientation shifts of 12 hours each are provided

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of computed tomography experience
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification with CME requirements met
• Radiation badge required for all shifts
• License required if applicable; active state or compact licensure at time of consideration
• Must be able to provide two professional references, including a supervisor from the last 12 months and another from the last 3 years
• Must submit a copy of a valid driver's license for consideration
• Previous direct employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past 12 months is not permitted

• Role involves independently performing CT scans for a diverse case mix, including emergent trauma and outpatient studies
• No in-house radiologist; strong collaboration with centralized and remote teams
• Fast-paced environment with strong team cohesion and support
• Radiation safety protocols strictly enforced; badge use is mandatory
• Scrubs are required per facility policy
• Position requires floating to X-ray duties as needed during overnight hours
• All scheduled requested time off (RTO) must be submitted up front; no additional RTO will be approved after onboarding
• Requires a minimum 50-mile permanent residence radius from the facility
