Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT and x-ray experience, ARRT and BLS certification, for a night shift role in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care environment with Level 3 trauma designation
• Department operates 2 CT scanners and 3 x-ray rooms using Siemens equipment
• Typical studies include CTAs and biopsies
• Must be willing to cover x-ray as needed
• EMR system used is Epic; PACS system is McKesson
• Scheduled for 9-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday
• Weekend and holiday coverage is required
• Call shifts may be required depending on position
• Unit is staffed with a lead technologist on each shift
• Cyclic scheduling offered with shift lengths varying from 8 to 12 hours
• 1 week unit-specific orientation scheduled Monday through Friday 0800-1630
• Responsibilities include performing CT and x-ray procedures, including CTAs and biopsies, and floating to x-ray as needed
• Radiation badge provided by the facility
• Lead technologist available during all shifts
• Strict fingernail policy enforced for infection control
• RTO must be submitted up front and additional time off requests will not be approved
• Returning employees must not have worked for any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the last year

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CT and x-ray
• Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Active state license required and must be valid at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment preferred
• Must provide a copy of driver's license for eligibility verification
• Artificial nails are not permitted in patient care areas
• Must meet a 50-mile radius rule from the facility and not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
• Two professional references required, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
