Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an acute care setting, requiring BLS certification and Minnesota licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care environment serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Facility includes a 14-bed inpatient Med Surg unit and 4 outpatient exam rooms
• Typical work schedule is Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm
• No call, evening, or weekend shifts required
• May occasionally be the sole physical therapist on site if other staff are absent
• Utilizes Epic EMR for documentation
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and documenting specialized therapy programs for patients of all ages with various diagnoses
• Provides both patient care and day-to-day guidance for therapy services
• Physical therapy assistant will assist with orientation and training
• Business casual attire or polo in specific colors (Ceil Blue, Khaki, Gray, Chocolate Brown) required
• All clinicians must badge in and out each day
• Candidates who have previously worked for Sanford Health must have a separation of at least 6 months before consideration
• Travelers with a permanent address within 80 miles may be subject to a bill rate adjustment

Requirements

• Recent experience as a licensed Physical Therapist required
• BLS certification required
• Physical Therapist license required; Minnesota license required if applicable
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program required
• Experience working in acute care recommended
• Must be able to provide age-appropriate treatments and evaluations
• Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
