Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a KY or compact license and strong critical care skills for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/CCU of a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill adult patients with a patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30, rotating 36/48 hours every two weeks
• Floating to other units required if census is low
• Uses Meditech EMR; experience with this system is preferred
• 13-week contract assignment
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• Travelers are not allowed to work as travel pairs except under special circumstances
• No local candidates accepted due to radius rule
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Ability to float to other units as needed
