Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of recent nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 10-bed orthopedic/medical surgical unit in a hospital setting
Patient population includes individuals with musculoskeletal conditions and those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries
Patient ratio is typically 1:5
Schedule is night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is required
Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients, including perioperative care, injury management, and patient education
No travel pairs or groups will be considered for this assignment
No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved
No requested time off (RTO) is permitted during the first week of orientation
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active ID or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 1 year of recent orthopedic or Med/Surg nursing experience
Experience with Epic charting system required
Locals within 50 miles are not eligible; candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
