Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with at least 1-2 years of experience and a TX or compact license for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a medical-surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts available with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shift options
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Unit has 10 rooms/beds
• Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months is preferred but not required
• Locals within a 50 mile radius are not eligible
• No travel pairs or groups accepted for this assignment
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved and none allowed during orientation week

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months preferred
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before applying as a traveler
