Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Telemetry position with night shifts and floating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Care for patients requiring progressive care with telemetry monitoring
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:30 to 7:00
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required to float; may experience 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratios when floated to med-surg
• General orientation held on Sundays with online CBLs
• Expected to support nursing students as part of clinical education responsibilities
• Must participate in 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• Hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly due to census needs
• No local candidates accepted per 100-mile radius rule
• Team members will provide care alongside clinical nursing education responsibilities

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of RN experience
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Traveler’s permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital’s service area
• AHA certificates required
