Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring recent specialty experience and active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (nights or days: 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm), may be variable based on operational needs
• Care for adult med/surg and telemetry patient population
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at any Cleveland area location are limited to 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month break required between contracts
• Orientation includes testing and must meet required scoring standards

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months permanent (non-travel) experience in Med/Surg Telemetry before travel assignments
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience, travel experience acceptable
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
