Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a current OH or compact license and recent perm MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Day shift with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00am to 7:30pm
• Patient care involves medical and telemetry monitoring cases
• Qualivis Lotus system is used for submitting hours worked
• Assignments at any location within the system shall not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a six-month waiting period before returning
• Additional extension beyond 18 months requires approval from the health system and managed service provider

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• At least 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel roles
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN in Med/Surg Tele required
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores
