Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer with ARDMS credentials and strong general ultrasound skills for an acute care Level 1 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital with Level 1 trauma status
- Unit handles a wide range of cases including abdomen, OB/GYN, pediatric, neonatal head, trauma FAST exams, abdominal Doppler, and lower extremity venous studies
- Two sonographers staffed per shift
- Utilizes GE E9, E10, and S8 ultrasound equipment, electronic worksheets, EPIC Radiant, and Trophon probe cleaning system
- Primary schedule consists of Friday 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM with no call
- Possible floating to other ultrasound departments within the facility's Broadway or South University campuses
- EMR used is EPIC, with experience highly preferred
- Responsible for completing exam summary worksheets and providing preliminary reports as needed
- Responsible for cleaning and stocking exam rooms and equipment
- Comply with all hospital and department policies and procedures
- Gray scrubs required
- All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
- Candidates must not reside within a 60 mile radius of the facility; those living within 60–80 miles will have a local travel rate adjustment
- Candidates who have previously worked for the facility must have a separation of at least 6 months prior to consideration
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent experience performing general ultrasound exams
- Active ARDMS certification with Abdomen and OB/GYN required
- BLS certification through AHA required
- ND State Imaging License or willingness to obtain
- Experience using GE E9, E10, and S8 ultrasound equipment preferred
- Strong scanning skills in abdomen, OB/GYN, pediatric, neonatal head, trauma FAST exams, abdominal Doppler, and lower extremity venous studies
- License required if applicable
