Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a dayshift Post Acute Long Term Care position requiring a ME or compact RN license and at least two years of nursing experience.
Details
- Work in a post-acute setting with long-term care and skilled nursing facility units
- Units include a specialized Alzheimer's/dementia unit, a 42-bed transitional rehabilitation unit, and a 42-bed general long-term care unit
- Patient populations include residents with Alzheimer's/dementia, individuals requiring short-term rehabilitation after surgery or injury, and long-term care residents
- Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
- Day shifts are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed is required
Requirements
- Active RN license in ME or a compact state
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of two years prior RN experience in a similar setting
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills required
- Experience caring for Alzheimer's/dementia residents preferred
- Previous employment with the facility is not accepted
- Candidates with licensure issues will not be considered
Additional Information
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to diverse resident populations
- Tailor communication and care strategies to the unique needs of Alzheimer's/dementia residents
- Participate as part of a collaborative care team in a home-like environment
- Role may involve coverage to support 24/7 operations as needed
- Local travelers are accepted at a reduced pay rate
