Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a MD or compact RN license and at least three years of recent MS/Tele experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts available, typically 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Patient ratios expected to be 1:5
- Floats may be required within clinical scope
- Rotating holiday and weekend shifts are required
- Choice of 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- No block scheduling is available for this position
- Expect to work both holidays and weekends as part of rotation
- Suburban location close to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
- Orientation will be provided for new staff
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license
- Minimum 3 years of recent and strong med-surg telemetry nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
