Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Operating Room position requiring a PA or compact RN license and Level I Trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Position based in the hospital Operating Room unit
- Night shifts with a rotating schedule of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts, including 7p-7a and 11p-7a
- Traveler may float to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed
- Required to work two weekend night shifts within a six-week schedule
- Rotating holiday shifts required, including one winter and one summer holiday which may be 8 or 12 hours
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Role involves providing nursing care in a high-acuity operating room environment
- Must be prepared to float to additional surgical and procedural units as necessary
- Holiday and weekend on-call rotations required
- Candidates must provide two professional references from supervisors within the past two years
- Local candidates are accepted at a different rate
Requirements
- Active PA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience, with Level I Trauma and liver/kidney case experience
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- No first-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
