Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring level 1 experience and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Care for patients with a variety of obstetric health issues from simple to complex
• Level 1 Labor and Delivery experience is required
• Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Monitors, documents, and reports patient responses to interventions and treatment
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Initiates and manages IV infusions and medication administration
• Interacts with patients and families to share care plans and discharge information
• Delegates tasks appropriately to support staff
• Holiday coverage and weekend shifts may be required
• Return employment policy requires a 6-month separation after 26 weeks of work before reapplying

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or Instructor
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Some computer skills required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
