Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an OR X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of current radiology experience and ARRT(R) certification for a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a large, rapid-paced operating room department
• Requires floating between departments and local locations within a 20-mile radius
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week for a total of 40 hours
• Patient care provided within the OR setting
• Use of the Epic EMR system, on-site training available
• Perform radiologic procedures in the operating room and other assigned departments
• Completion of all required credentials and NM state licensing must occur by the end of the first week of assignment
• Return perm staff must wait one year before being reconsidered for travel roles
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
• Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Testing required for some units, completed during orientation; must pass to remain on assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in radiology required
• At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required
• Current ARRT(R) certification is required
• New Mexico state radiology license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred
• Preferred ARRT(CT) certification
• Must be a team player, flexible, and able to thrive in a high-volume environment
