Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric RN with a CT or compact license and Level I trauma center background for a night shift opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Work in a pediatric unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Level I trauma center environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
• Average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• Applicants must live at least 75 miles from the facility
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Return staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered
• Requests for time off greater than 7 days require facility approval
• Parking is available for a monthly fee
• Participation in emergency response activities may be required

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license or eligibility with licensure in progress
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Prior experience in a Level I trauma center at a large facility required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (religious/medical exemption allowed)
• First-time travelers accepted
