Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry night position requiring EPIC experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with needs such as total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetes, and medical COVID
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
• Float required between Progress West and St. Peters as needed
• Average daily census of 16; patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Every third weekend required
• EPIC EMR used and experience required
• Light gray/silver scrubs required
• Duties include caring for patients post cath lab, providing neuro/stroke care, and managing a range of medical/surgical conditions
• Some initial orientation will occur outside of regular contract shifts
• Free parking is available on site
• Up to 16 hours paid for completion of required modules during pre-start orientation
• No more than 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract, and none during the first week of orientation
• Travelers can stay for up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break after 18 months

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with post cath lab management in inpatient settings
• Neuro/stroke care experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
• First time travelers are accepted
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers
