Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3 years of CT and radiology experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and the ability to cover both CT and X-ray in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting within the CT/X-ray department
• Perform CT, X-ray, trauma, stroke, isolation, chest pain, C-arm, and DEXA studies
• One CT room, one X-ray room, portable, and fluoroscopy equipment available
• Shift is 8 hours during the day with rotating call for nights and weekends
• Scheduled every 3rd to 5th weekend and every 4th holiday
• Call requires a 15-minute response time for trauma/stroke
• Use the MEDITECH EMR system
• Float coverage required between CT and X-ray areas
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling offered
• Main duties include conducting a variety of imaging studies such as trauma and stroke scans, as well as chest, C-arm, and DEXA procedures
• Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills to succeed in this department
• Department is supported by a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift; RRAs are not used
• No radiologist is in-house during shifts
• Scrubs are not provided and there is no color requirement
• Orientation length may vary based on experience
• Up to 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; additional requests will not be approved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in CT and radiology tech roles
• Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Active North Dakota state license required if applicable
• Must be able to start IVs if not already started by RN
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
• Experience using MEDITECH EMR preferred
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not be currently employed with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in any role
