Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position caring for adult post-surgical patients with complex medical and surgical needs.
Responsibilities
- Position is located on a Med/Surg unit specializing in adult post-surgical care
- Patient population includes adults recovering from amputation, spinal cord injury or dysfunction, complex medical conditions, musculoskeletal injury, and stroke
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Requires experience with dysrhythmia management
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Responsible for delivering nursing care to adult surgical patients in a high-acuity setting
- Requires participation in orientation sessions held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, with specific radius rules for certain facilities
- Team members are expected to demonstrate strong clinical skills and professionalism
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a similar setting
- Must have experience working in facilities with 500 or more beds
- Prior experience managing dysrhythmias required
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
- 1-2 previous travel assignments preferred
