Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a high-acuity setting with required recent L&D and OR circulator experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 9 labor rooms, 2 operating and recovery rooms, and 5 triage rooms
- Handles high-risk obstetric patients with approximately 3,000 deliveries per year
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Uses Epic EMR system; experience required
- Responsibilities include reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
- Must float within department as needed
- Care for laboring women, assist in deliveries, and circulate in the operating and recovery rooms
- Candidates must be able to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- RN must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B before starting; test may be taken twice
- Monthly parking fees apply; information available upon request
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates except for some units
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience and OR circulator experience required
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Must be able to pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with 85% or higher
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required with all lessons completed and valid through assignment duration
- Completion of Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course, preferably AWHONN
- Preferred completion of a Dysrhythmia/Telemetry Interpretation course
- Must provide 2 professional references, including at least one manager-level reference and recent evaluations (within 12 months and 3 years)
