Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU night shift position requiring an active MA license and strong ICU skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 20-bed adult Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Care for highly acute and complex surgical patients
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
- 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Uses Epic for documentation
- Contract length is 13 weeks
- Must receive flu vaccination; no exemptions allowed
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility and will receive a different pay rate
- Parking is not validated and may incur daily costs; public transportation is available
- Opportunities available for specialty certifications such as TNCC and CCRN
- Dress code and other onboarding requirements will be communicated prior to start
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Skilled in the care of critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive and sedative medication titration, care of central and arterial lines, complex wound and drain management
- Experience using Epic EMR
