Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a WI or compact RN license and prior large ED or travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Position based in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Shift is 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday shifts required
• May be required to float within skill set onsite or to other sites within 40 miles
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsible for providing emergency nursing care in a high-acuity environment
• Must provide two professional references, skills checklist, and certification copies for consideration
• Scrub or uniform requirements to be confirmed with department
• Local candidates are accepted but offered at a reduced rate based on facility radius rule
• No COVID vaccination required as of July 1, 2023
• Holiday and weekend coverage is mandatory according to unit needs

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years recent emergency department experience required
• Prior travel experience or at least 5 years in a large ED setting with no travel experience
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Current TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (renewed per protocol)
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• U.S. Social Security Number and U.S. home address required
• Copy of driver’s license required
