Description
American Traveler is hiring a Hand Therapy-specialized Occupational Therapist for an outpatient OT position in South Dakota, requiring CHT certification (or equivalent experience) and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Outpatient Occupational Therapy setting within an orthopedic and specialty hospital
- Patient population includes hand therapy diagnoses, with the broader OT department also treating neurological and lymphedema cases
- Specialized equipment includes splinting materials, blood flow restriction devices, and a pool
- Epic EMR experience is required
- 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation or on-call requirements
- No holiday coverage expectations
- No floating to other units required
Requirements
- Active South Dakota OT licensure required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential granted by the HTCC required; may be waived based on experience
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Certification by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners required
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
- Splinting skills required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Orientation is 5–7 days
- All time off requests require supervisor approval
- Scrub color is pewter/dark grey/granite
- Free parking is available on-site
