Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of recent ER experience, valid GA or compact RN license, and current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating may be required within the facility and within scope of practice
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Must be willing to work holidays as assigned, with coverage expectations based on number of major holidays during assignment
• Return travelers must have completed a successful assignment outside of Piedmont before rebooking at a new location if previously deemed ineligible
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per contract
• All required compliance items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract for on-time start
• Modules are completed during orientation and are non-billable
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unit

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Unit does not accept first time travelers
• Must provide two supervisory references (manager or above)
• Must be away from Piedmont facilities for at least one full year if previously employed as staff or traveler
